Charity Dodgeball Evening
Leveraging our business relationships to raise funds for charities
In 2016 InfraRed set up a charity dodgeball event where teams, from our network of business partners resplendent in fancy dress, compete over the course of an evening in a dodgeball tournament to raise funds for charities selected by InfraRed.

Since its inception the dodgeball event has raised over £100,000 to deliver worthy causes for the following InfraRed projects:
- A CineGym project for the Paediatrics Department at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. This is a dual-purpose facility, offering children with Cystic Fibrosis enhanced rehabilitation resources through access to a specialised gym and cinema room.
- The acquisition of two pieces of equipment for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, NeoNatal Phototherapy Treatment and Invivo Microscopy. Neither of these pieces of equipment are funded by NHS.
- Donations provided to Greenvale School, a community specialist school in the borough of Lewisham, were used to make improvements to school learning facilities and fund educational activities for the students.
- Funding provided to Talbot School, a community school in Sheffield for young people between the ages of 11 and 19 years who have severe and profound learning difficulties, was used to create a new external classroom to enable students to benefit from a less formal learning environment.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank InfraRed for hosting this charity dodgeball event to raise money for our Paediatrics Department here at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth.
The tournament raised a staggering £28,600, which will allow us to build our CineGym. We are incredibly grateful for the hard work and dedication of those individuals and teams who made this event such a huge success and for giving us the ability to make a difference to the lives of children in our care."
