Stéphane Kofman


Stéphane joined InfraRed in 2007.

He leads the firm’s development in the energy sectors across Europe, the Americas and Australasia, focusing on low carbon power generation, energy storage, flexible generation and transmission assets. Stéphane is responsible for investment screening, deals prioritisation, origination and transactions of both greenfield and brownfield acquisitions.

He has been involved in a number of infrastructure PPP opportunities in the rail and road sectors in Europe, including the successful closing, refinancing and sale of the €1.1bn A63 motorway concession in France. He also initiated the firm’s development in the offshore wind sector with InfraRed’s investment in a 396MW offshore wind project in Germany.

Previously he worked within HSBC’s Asset and Structured Finance department for six years where he specialised in big ticket leasing (transportation) and designing structured products. Stéphane began his career at PwC in 1995 as an auditor and then moved to Project Finance (power sector) at Crédit Commercial de France (now HSBC France).

Stéphane graduated in business (MSc in Management) from EM Lyon business school.
