The SH-288 Toll Lanes project is a 52-year concession for the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of a 10.3 mile segment of the SH 288 road from US 59 to the Harris County line in Houston, Texas, USA, for the Texas Department of Transportation (“TxDOT”). The project includes four new tolled lanes (two in each direction), a number of direct connectors to existing road infrastructure and the operation of existing general-purpose lanes.
The toll lanes provide a reliable and predictable alternative for travel between Downtown Houston and Brazoria County. After opening to traffic in 2020, it has contributed significantly to alleviating congestion problems in one of Houston’s most populated areas.
Stephane Kofman, Head of Capital Gain Funds, at InfraRed Capital Partners said:
“This is one of the most important infrastructure projects undertaken in the Houston metropolitan area, and we are pleased to have been part of the consortium that bid for and delivered the project for TxDOT. InfraRed continues to invest in Texas and is looking forward to supporting the development and operation of other essential infrastructure assets in the state.”
