Fernando Castro

Fernando is responsible for the management of investments located in the Americas, with a particular focus on the value-add strategies. He works closely with portfolio company management teams on the execution of business plans and sits on the board of several investments.

Recent assets include Public Safety Towers Company in California, Vancouver Island Ferries Company in British Columbia, and Fullmark Energy, headquartered in Chicago with projects in California and Texas. Fernando plays a key leadership role in InfraRed’s value-add strategies. His earlier successful investments include SH-288 Managed Lanes in Texas, Iqaluit Airport in Canada, the Northwest Parkway toll road in Colorado, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police headquarters in British Columbia, Canada.

He brings over 16 years of infrastructure experience spanning transportation, digital infrastructure, energy, battery storage, transmission lines, and social infrastructure. Fernando joined InfraRed in 2018 from Sacyr Concessions, where he led business development for North America. Prior to that, he held senior roles at FCC Concessions, leading PPP projects across the Americas.
