James is the Fund Manager for D9 Infrastructure PLC, an LSE-listed digital infrastructure investment company managed by InfraRed. He is also a member of the D9 investment committee. Prior to this, he co-led InfraRed’s European infrastructure investment activities.
With more than 25 years’ investment experience, James has worked across a broad range of sectors including digital infrastructure, utilities, energy transition, transportation, and social infrastructure. He played a key role in the launch of HICL in 2006 and previously led its investment and divestment activities for over 18 years. He has overseen the delivery of in excess of £2 billion in new investments and £1 billion in divestments on behalf of HICL and more recently D9.
James began his career at InfraRed (formerly Charterhouse and HSBC) in 1997. Over the past 25 years, he has developed extensive expertise in investment origination, capital raising, portfolio management, and asset management.
