Joao is responsible for the management of transportation and social infrastructure projects within InfraRed’s portfolio during their construction and operational phases.
He sits as a non-executive director on the boards of many of these project companies, provides support on the acquisition of new projects, and also supports the implementation of effective value preservation and creation strategies across the InfraRed portfolio.
Joao has more than 25 years of experience in the transport infrastructure sector, having worked internationally on major PPP infrastructure projects at various stages from bidding through construction to operations. Before joining InfraRed in 2022, he led the Transaction Advisory team at Capita, where he advised lenders on a number of transportation projects across Europe. He is also a member of the Portuguese Institute of Civil Engineers.
