InfraRed Capital Partners announces strategic core-plus digital infrastructure vehicle with Pantheon

8 December 2025 Investments
InfraRed Capital Partners (“InfraRed”) is pleased to announce the signing of a structured core-plus digital infrastructure vehicle with Pantheon, a leading global private markets investor. The vehicle will invest in existing resilient, income-generating digital infrastructure assets that require capital for growth and operational enhancement. The portfolio is structured to combine stability with upside potential, positioning investors to benefit from essential digital platforms while funding expansion to meet surging demand.

The vehicle will comprise investments in the data centre and telecommunications tower sectors, with the assets exhibiting stable and predictable revenue streams alongside strong growth potential. InfraRed will work closely with the management teams to capitalise on the burgeoning demand for digital infrastructure driven by the digitalisation megatrend shaping economies globally. The portfolio includes assets in Europe, North America, and Australasia, underlining its geographic diversification.

The portfolio includes a stake in ProLink Infrastructure, the first independent tower company in Luxembourg, with long-term agreements and opportunities for development. It also includes the partial acquisition of Nexspace, an established data centre platform targeting the growing demand for colocation services across the DACH region, alongside other assets.

The launch of this vehicle with a leading private markets investor is a testament to InfraRed’s extensive in-house investment, portfolio, and asset management capabilities, which span across the infrastructure risk spectrum. It also reflects InfraRed’s deep digital infrastructure experience—its digital assets currently serve more than 9 million people*. Having invested in communications and digital infrastructure from the ground up, InfraRed is well positioned to manage the portfolio, with a deep understanding of the intricacies and disciplines required to scale businesses and achieve operational excellence.

Michael Straka, Head of Capital Formation at InfraRed, said: “We are delighted to be announcing this core-plus digital infrastructure vehicle with Pantheon. This investment from a blue-chip institutional investor like Pantheon reflects the strength of our digital experience and our ability to actively manage and grow attractive income-generating assets across diverse markets. We look forward to working closely with Pantheon to build on this strong foundation and deliver long-term value.”

Welwin Lobo, Principal at Pantheon said: “This deal reflects our focus on investing in high-quality infrastructure assets that offer both downside protection and clear avenues for growth. The portfolio’s mix of tower and data centre assets, supported by strong long-term demand trends, aligns with our investment strategy. We look forward to working with the InfraRed team as the companies deliver on their business plans and capture future expansion opportunities.”
