InfraRed announces appointment of Jack Paris as Chief Executive Officer

17 March 2023 Corporate
InfraRed Capital Partners (“InfraRed”) today announces that Jack Paris will succeed Werner von Guionneau as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective 1 July 2023. Werner, who has been CEO for nearly three decades, will be moving into the newly established Chairman position. This follows a proactive succession planning process that has been underway for a number of years.

Jack currently leads InfraRed’s team in the Americas; he is responsible for managing and growing its presence in the region, as well as leading its North American energy transition strategy. Prior to InfraRed, Jack was Co-Head of Citi’s Global Power & Renewables investment banking business. He was part of building this business for over 13 years and advised on over $100bn of transactions in the sector. He will relocate to London to take on his new role.

This is the latest step in InfraRed’s systematic succession planning, bringing its talent into leadership roles while maintaining continuity of experience and stability. The programme has been underway for several years and has seen eleven colleagues brought into the InfraRed partnership to create a well-rounded management team.

As part of these changes, Chris Gill will be transferring his responsibility for the risk, compliance, and governance functions to focus on his position as Chair of InfraRed’s Investment Committees.

Jack Paris, incoming CEO, InfraRed, said:

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to lead InfraRed. We have a strong, proven platform that is well positioned for the future. I look forward to working closely with our broad and highly capable senior executive team, as well as with Werner in his new role, to continue to deliver for our investors and stakeholders alike.”

Werner von Guionneau, current CEO and future Chairman, InfraRed, said:

“This is an important milestone in our long-standing succession plan. I’m excited that Jack will be leading the business; he brings a wealth of industry experience and expertise as well as a deep understanding of the InfraRed business and respect from colleagues. I look forward to continue working closely with him, as we strive to achieve our ambitious goals.”
