InfraRed appoints Jack Paris as Head of the Americas to lead growth strategy in the region

17 August 2021 Corporate

InfraRed Capital Partners (“InfraRed”) today announces the appointment of Jack Paris to the newly created position of Head of the Americas, based in New York.

Paris joins from Citigroup, where he was a Managing Director and Co-Head of Power, Utilities & Renewables. Prior to his thirteen-year stint at Citigroup, Paris held senior positions at Lehman Brothers and CIT Group.

Paris will head InfraRed’s operations in the Americas and will focus on leading and growing the firm’s US platform. As part of this, he will take responsibility for all key investment disciplines in the region, including origination and execution, portfolio management and asset management. He will also play a central role in InfraRed’s capital raising efforts in the Americas.

InfraRed’s Americas business makes investments and manages assets on behalf of InfraRed’s established capital gain and income strategies that are active in the region. Paris will lead these efforts and will oversee InfraRed’s North American renewables strategy, which was launched with a commitment of $250m from Sun Life in autumn 2020.

Werner von Guionneau, Chief Executive Officer at InfraRed Capital Partners, said:

“I am very pleased to welcome Jack Paris to the InfraRed Americas team. Since the commencement of our partnership with Sun Life in July 2020, we have been building out InfraRed’s presence in core infrastructure and renewable energy in the Americas. Paris’ extensive experience and expertise in the market will allow us to take a major step forward on this journey.”

This is the second major addition to the InfraRed Americas team in 2021, following the appointment of Jay Crawford as Head of Asset Management, Americas, earlier in the year. Upon joining the business, Paris will report into Harry Seekings, Head of Infrastructure at InfraRed.
