InfraRed Capital Partners has exchanged contracts for the forward purchase of a new logistics unit in Frankfurt, Raunheim. The 51,000 sqm unit, immediately adjacent to the Frankfurt International Airport, is leased to the Simon Hegele Gesellschaft für Logistik und Service GmbH on a 15 year lease. The unit is presently being built and is expected to be completed in January 2012.
Joram Szerkowski, responsible for deal origination in Germany at InfraRed Capital Partners, commented: “This is the fourth transaction in the German logistics sector for InfraRed in the past year after earlier investments in Hamburg and Munich. With this deal we continue our strategy of acquiring well-located logistics units in Germany, both for our value-added strategy as well as pursuing core investments for separate accounts”.
