InfraRed Capital Partners – Changes in the Infrastructure Team

4 April 2019 Corporate

InfraRed Capital Partners (InfraRed) is pleased to announce the following changes to its team in North America, to take effect from June 2015:

1. Bryn Jones will be relocating from London to New York to oversee a new growth initiative for InfraRed’s infrastructure business line in the North American region.  He retains his current responsibilities in addition to leading the team in North America.

2. Harry Seekings, after seven years in New York, will be returning to London to take up a new position in connection with InfraRed’s strategy to develop its secondary market activities.  These activities include InfraRed’s role as investment adviser to HICL Infrastructure Company Limited, an infrastructure investment company with a market capitalization of in excess of US$3bn, which was launched by InfraRed in 2006 and is listed on the London Stock Exchange.

3. In addition to her current responsibilities to manage transactions Sonia McMillan will assume a coordination role for the business development for the North American region

With the recent financial close on the Portsmouth Bypass P3 (Ohio) and the best value proposer award of the SH-288 Tolled Lanes (Texas) – and with other opportunities at an advanced stage – InfraRed is expecting to grow its North American portfolio of infrastructure investments during 2015.  The business is actively recruiting analysts and will continue to invest in its resources in the region in order to support its existing portfolio, while also seeking new opportunities to make equity investments.  InfraRed is actively developing public-private partnerships in the USA and Canada, including investments in new build and operating projects.  The business is also seeking secondary investments in PPPs and development opportunities in related infrastructure sectors such as renewable energy.

Bryn Jones commented: “North America is a priority region for InfraRed and the business is intent on growing its equity under management in the USA and Canada.  Growth will be achieved through deepening existing key relationships, while also seeking new partners with whom we can develop infrastructure investments.  Our objectives are to maintain InfraRed’s momentum in P3 markets in the region and to work with our partners to fund infrastructure investment needs with commitments from InfraRed’s existing investor base.”

Harry Seekings commented: “This is an exciting time for InfraRed in North America.  The business has steadily built its market presence since we made our first infrastructure investment in the region in 2008.  We believe that our existing North American projects and New York investment team represent a solid platform from which to compete and expand in the region.”
