4 April 2019 Investments

InfraRed has recently let 16,500 sqm of office space to two occupiers at the ‘Leitwerk’ office complex in Munich, Haidenauplatz 1.

Following the successful completion of a ten year lease with the Bavarian State Ministry of Health and Care for 8,500 sqm, InfraRed have also agreed an early five year lease extension with the German Patent Office for 8,000 sqm. The lettings were achieved in conjunction with a number of internal and external building improvements implemented over the past months.

The Leitwerk is situated in close proximity to the Ostbahnhof, Munich’s second largest train station, and was built in 2000, comprising c. 40,000 sqm

Joram Szerkowski, Director, Real Estate at InfraRed commented:

“These letting successes are confirmation of our strategy for the Leitwerk and proof of the quality of the asset and its location. This is our most recent value-add office project in Germany following the acquisition and successful repositioning of the Cologne Tower through building renovation and vacancy reduction. We continue to focus our investment activities towards assets with strong value-add potential in Germany’s top office locations.”
