InfraRed Capital Partners raises £500m for investment in operational infrastructure portfolio

4 April 2019 Corporate

InfraRed Capital Partners, which invests and manages infrastructure and real estate assets globally, is pleased to announce that it has established the InfraRed Infrastructure Yield Fund adding to its secondary Infrastructure platform, which now comprises 100 infrastructure projects. The Fund has raised c.£500m from global investors to acquire a fully seeded diversified portfolio of operational infrastructure assets.

The portfolio includes concessions for availability, revenue-based and renewable infrastructure assets in the U.K. and the Americas that are now fully operational, having originally been built and fully developed by InfraRed and its consortium partners over a number of years.

The extensive investor interest reflects demand for the long-dated, inflation-linked and predictable cash flows that this portfolio is structured to provide.

InfraRed Chief Executive Werner von Guionneau said:

“We are delighted with the strong institutional demand for this portfolio of high quality assets. The successful fund-raising ensures continuity of service for all stakeholders, and investors will benefit from InfraRed’s in-depth knowledge of the portfolio and its extensive experience in managing operational infrastructure assets.”
