InfraRed Capital Partners – Strong ESG performance by InfraRed in PRI’s annual assessment

4 April 2019 Sustainability
InfraRed Capital Partners (InfraRed) is pleased to advise that in its 2015 assessment of InfraRed, Principles for Responsible Investment (“PRI”) has not only maintained InfraRed’s Overall score of ‘A’, but upgraded both our Real Estate score to ‘A’ and our Infrastructure score to the highest possible ‘A+’ level. These scores compare very favourably with our peer group whose median scores were ‘B’ Overall, ‘C’ for Real Estate and ‘B’ for Infrastructure.

InfraRed’s takes ESG seriously and our policy is underpinned by our adoption of, and compliance with, PRI to which we have been a signatory since 2011.  These principles provide a voluntary framework to help institutional investors incorporate environmental, social and corporate governance issues into investment analysis, decision-making and ownership practices.

For the last two years, we have been reporting our ESG activities to the PRI not only in respect of the business as a whole but also specifically for our Infrastructure and Real Estate businesses as well. As you can read on page 7 of InfraRed’s 2015 Assessment Report by PRI (available to view here), we have either maintained or improve our absolute scores, while page 6 shows our favourable scores compared to the peer group medians.  InfraRed’s 2014/15 PRI Responsible Investment Transparency Report is also available to view here.

We are very pleased with this outcome as it clearly demonstrates our ongoing focus on ESG within the organisation as well as our strong performance relative to our peers.
