On 27th January seven members of InfraRed attended the 2016 Careers Day, sharing their experiences of working in the financial services sector and discussing individual career paths with the students. It was a successful event full of motivational interaction with the students and was greatly appreciated by the school.
Steve Hamberger, Head of Careers at Eastbury, commented: “It’s always beneficial for students to hear the in depth knowledge and variety of personal stories that you are able to bring!”
The history between InfraRed and Eastbury Community School goes back to 2014, when it has begun as part of the Community Engagement initiative. The aim of this program is to nurture talent and realise potential in young people by working with schools within the portfolio of assets. InfraRed intends to provide experiences that can bridge the gap between education and employment, giving participants an insight into how knowledge and learning can be applied in ‘real life’ situations.
Commenting on InfraRed’s Community Engagement Programme, Werner von Guionneau, Chief Executive, said:
“Developing talent is fundamental to the success of the InfraRed business. The students we work with are our future and we want to inspire and motivate them, showing them what their career might look like.”
