InfraRed’s Community Engagement Programme – Charity Dodgeball Derby

4 April 2019 Sustainability
InfraRed Capital Partners (InfraRed), the leading investment manager focused on infrastructure and real estate, hosted its inaugural Charity Dodgeball Derby on 22nd September 2016 as a part of its Community Engagement Programme.

21 teams from InfraRed’s business partners and 3 InfraRed teams competed in the Dodgeball tournament which took place in Whitechapel, London.  All the teams really entered into the spirit of the evening and it was fun watching the teams battle it out in various fancy dress costumes.  Over 250 people attended the event and GVA emerged as the final winners, beating Lockton in a hotly contested final. Taylor Wessing took the prize for the best fancy dress costume.

The tournament was arranged in order to raise funds for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital Charity which operates out of Central Manchester Hospitals, a project developed by InfraRed’s Infrastructure team and now part of a portfolio of assets managed on behalf of investors in one of InfraRed’s funds.

Around £11,000 was raised on the night and together with other fundraising activities undertaken by InfraRed staff will be used to fund projects for the hospital that will enhance the experience of the 220,000 children cared for by the hospital each year.
