Infrastructure Development team announced as Preferred Bidder on Transmission Gully Project (US$50m)

The project is a new 27km stretch of road (and is the first state highway project in New Zealand to be built as a public private partnership (PPP). This availability project consists of the design, construction, financing, maintenance and operation of the Transmission Gully state highway for the 25 years that will follow the expected five-year construction period. Financial Close for this project is scheduled for June 2014 with construction beginning in late 2014.

The InfraRed team will commit US$50m to the project, its second development project in New Zealand (the first being the construction of the Wiri Men’s Prison).
